Important application and registration information
All applications must be submitted on our school website.
All application, re-enrollment, and registration forms must be completed digitally.
Once receiving an acceptance phone call, families will have seven (7) days to accept the seat.
Once the seat is accepted, the registration packet will be sent electronically with a due date for return.
Re-enrollment
Once a student is accepted to the school, they do not have to reapply for the following year.
Students complete a re-enrollment form letting us know that they will return. We determine how many seats are available for the next year’s lottery based on the number of students not returning. The number of seats varies by grade level.
Sibling Preference
When possible, we take siblings of students to fill any open seats to keep families together.
Somerset Avenir students who have incoming kindergarten siblings are guaranteed a spot for the kindergarten class. Sibling kindergarten enrollment will determine how many seats are available for lottery applications.
Somerset Avenir lottery offers preference for Palm Beach county residents during the public application period. Any remaining lottery seats will be filled with residents outside of Palm Beach County.
Any student chosen in the lottery must accept their seat by the published deadline or will forfeit their seat. All applications submitted after the lottery period will be placed on the waitlist in the order that their application was received. Any applications received after the lottery, reenrollment, or transfer periods will not receive preference.
If open seats remain in a grade level after the lottery period, applications will remain open and acceptance will be offered on a rolling basis until grade level seats are filled.
Once offered a seat, families must complete the registration packet of enrollment forms to ensure their seat is secured for the upcoming school year by the given deadline.
